Inspired by Love: Xander’s Story

The Love Acct Foundation was born out of a deeply personal journey—a father’s fight to save his son Xander, from a rare and misdiagnosed cancer at age 11. After major hospital systems misdiagnosed Xander’s illness, a breakthrough came through the innovative work of Dr. Charles Keller and the team at CCTDI, who use advanced genetic testing to target cancer more effectively. 

Although Xander’s short battle ended at 14 years of age, his legacy lives on. In his memory, we aim to bring hope and treatment options to children and families facing the same challenges.

An Urgent Need for Childhood Cancer Therapies

Childhood cancer remains one of the leading causes of death among children. For those diagnosed with rare cancers, the road to treatment is often riddled with uncertainty and limited options. Traditional diagnostic methods often fail to capture the unique genetic makeup of these diseases, leaving children without effective treatment plans. This gap in research and resources means that many children, like Xander, are left without a viable path to recovery. At Love Acct Foundation, we are determined to change that.

he Love Acct Foundation’s approach is as unique as its mission. By organizing art shows in 2025 for Childhood Cancer Awareness, we bring together artists from around the world to donate original pieces, with all proceeds supporting research and development of life-saving therapies. 

This event is more than just a fundraiser—it’s a platform that fosters community, raises awareness, and drives cross-promotion between artists and the cause. The fusion of creativity and compassion allows us to fund cutting-edge research and bring hope to families facing childhood cancer.

Key Initiatives & Programs

The Love Acct Foundation’s cornerstone initiative is our annual art fundraisers. Each year, artists contribute original works, which are sold to raise funds for childhood cancer research. 

Proceeds go directly to supporting innovative diagnostic tools and therapies through partnerships with organizations like CCTDI. In the future, we plan to expand our initiatives by publishing a book featuring the participating artists and their work, with additional proceeds benefiting our cause. We envision this becoming a lasting tradition, growing year by year in reach, impact, and influence.

Milan Art, led by renowned artist Elli Milan, shares a deeply personal connection to the mission of Love Acct Foundation. As Xander’s aunt, Elli nurtured his passion for art, guiding him in his creative journey and witnessing firsthand the healing power of artistic expression. This personal bond has inspired Milan Art to partner with Love Acct Foundation, bringing their global community of artists together to support this vital cause. Through this partnership, we honor Xander’s legacy by using art as a powerful vehicle for raising awareness and funding groundbreaking therapies for childhood cancers.
